Cytomel is not an anabolic/androgenic steroid but a thyroid hormone. It contains synthetically manufactured liothyronine sodium which resembles the natural thyroid hormone. The thyroid of a healthy person usually produces two hormones, L-thyroxine (L-T4) and Tricodide-thyronine (L-T3). Cytomel is the synthetic equivalent of the Tricodide-thyronine (L-T3), it has the same effect on the body as if the thyroid produced the hormone. Medically Cytomel is used for thyroid insufficiency (hyperthyroidism). I have used this compound for just about every pre-contest diet, it causes a faster conversion of carbohydrates, proteins and fats and I really like the increased fat burning part, I was able to get in-shape without having to reduce my calorie intake to low, for the last show I managed to stay above 4000calories and still loose body fat. Some guys claim that by using Cytomel while on AAS the steroid became more effective, maybe but how do you gauge that. I mentioned before that I was eating 4000 calories and still managed to loose body fat every week, I have a confession to make, I combined Cytomel with Clenbuterol, the two compounds together gave me enormous fat burning effect, just by watching T.V I was sweating, towards the last weeks of my contest prep I was burning so much calories that I was able to back off my cardio, which is a big plus for the quads they finally got a rest and was able to fill out.
As for the dosage you need to be careful start slow and increase over a course of several days, I normally start with 25mcg and every second day I would increase by another 25mcg until I reached my desired dose, normally 100mcg, I have tried higher but to be honest I didn’t see any more benefits from doing so. Best to spread your dose throughout the day and 5-6 weeks is recommended, mind you I did use once for three months but that’s an other story, and gradually reduce the dosage when coming off.
Dosage: 100mcg per day max
Usage: 5-6 weeks
