Low Growth Hormone

Low growth hormone levels mimic the effects of aging so basically if you feel like your going downhill it may be a sign of of deficiency. Infact it’s the most common complaint of patients who go on growth hormone replacement. They talk about a lack of energy, they say life seems less exciting, they feel a decline in libido and sexual performance. The same symptoms are seen in adult patients who develope pituitary disease.

The psychological and emotional symptoms assocaited with low growth hormone levels are similar to a testosterone deficiency , they include a reduced sense of well being ; low energy , vitality and capacity for work , emotional lability including mood swings , anxiety and depression. Some important physical signs to look for are increased body fat , especially around the waist (apple shaped) decreased muscle mass , prematurely aged skin.
The following are a list of symptoms of growth hormone deficiency

  • Poor general health.
  • Impaired self control.
  • Lack of positive well being.
  • Depressed mood.
  • Increased anxiety.
  • Reduced vitality.
  • Reduced energy.

  • Increased body fat.
  • Increased waist to hip ratio.
  • Decreased HDL cholesterol.
  • Increased LDL cholesterol.

The decline of male potency parallels the decline of growth hormone released in the body. You see at puberty when growth hormone is at its peak , a boy is in an almost constant state of arousal. By young manhood , the time between erections is already decreasing. A this point he is usually able to have sex everyday and maybe several times a day. By his 40’s he may be down to two or three times a week and by age 60 to about once a week or less. At the same time the rate of impotence increases. Every study of male sexual function shows a decline with age. According to a surveys , under the age of 40 about 2% of men are importent. By the age of 80; 75% are incapable of having or sustaining erections.

The massachussets male aging study in a random sampling of 1,290 men , found that compltete erectile disfunction increased from 5% at age 40 to 15% at age 79 , with difficulty in having erections experienced by 52% in the older age group. Is the decline in growth hormone and sexual performance a coincidence or is there a cause and effect relationship?

In the first clinical anylisys of the effects of HGH therapy in 202 people including 172 men , fully three quarters of the participants said that they had an increase in sexual potency or frequency. And 62% of the men reported that they were able to maintain an erection for a longer period of time. Since the vast majority on growth hormone therapy report an increase of sexual appetite and performance , it is strongly suspected that growth hromone plays a pivotal role in sexual health.

It is well documented that growth hormone reverses the shrinkage of the heart, liver , spleen and other vital organs. Now it appears that it may regrow the sexual organs as well. Starting in the fourth decade , the penis and clitoris actually start to shrink. But many patients report that with growth hormone the penis returns to its youthful dimensions. The same reversal occurs with the clitoris in women.

According to Chein Baxas , whose been using growth hormone in his practice since 1990 , says , “The penis definitely gets bigger. It’s an organ that can increase in size. My patients tell me that they are more aware of sex , more sexually active. They go back to having multiple orgasms. I’ve had men tell me it’s better now than it was 20 years ago”.

While acknowledging that growth hormone can boost penis size Alschier cautions that “this is not something you can count on. It does depend on your body , whether you have good muscle tone , and your blood supply.” Here is where the exercise effect of growth hormone is most valuable.

That “little roll in the middle” is not only disgusting , it represents a real threat to one’s health. There are two kinds of body fat , central and peripheral fat. The central fat around the waist and abdominal area is related to diseases like atherosclerosis , type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure , and insulin resistance. The peripheral fat on the arms , legs or hips is less related to health problems in general.

Americans are getting fatter by day and night. In the past 35 years , we’ve gone from 1/4th of our citizens being chubby to one 1/3rd in 1980 to a majority in 1996. At the same time that we’re pushing away butter and fats and piling up on pasta and carbs. The result is the rate of heart disease fell , but diabetes rose. National bloating is continuing with teens and kids fatter than ever. A good amount of it can be blamed by lifestyle factors , stuffing our faces and watching tv.

The supersize deluxe combo of of lack of exercise and over eating leads to decrease of testosterone and growth hormone , making it even harder to lose weight.

Fat men make 25% less growth hormone on a daily basis and have a pulsatile release of GH that is 3 times lower compared to normal weight guys. Scientists have shown a correlation between body fat and growth hormone and testosterone secretion. The more body fat you have the less growth hormone and testosterone you have , vice versa the less body fat the more GH and T you have.

It isn’t just any fat thats the problem , theres a deep cushion of fat underlying the gut , the central body fat that lowers the ammount of hormone secreted in growth hormone pulses. While scientists looked at deep abdominal fat , they found the same thing.
